In this presentation, Tim McBride will highlight the importance of corporate social responsibility in procurement practices and review a few of the steps Microsoft has taken to embed CSR into their procurement function and activities.
In particular, McBride will share what his organization has done to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in travel and technology purchases, implement a vendor code of conduct and vendor-management process that clearly articulate its values and expectations with suppliers in regard to social and environmental issues. He will also discuss how procurement executives can play a significant role in driving brand enhancement through a strong CSR program.
